Heat · Solar · Care — Kent & the Southeast

Low-carbon homes, properly looked after.

We exist so switching to a heat pump or solar system is never a leap of faith. Every installation is designed around your home and your budget, handed over with a full digital record of what was fitted and why, and backed by a named team who still answer the phone long after the invoice is paid. That's the whole business: not selling equipment — standing behind it.

One company, three jobs done properly

LCE Heat, LCE Solar and LCE Care.

Design and installation, generation and storage, and the ongoing care that keeps it all running — under one contract, one project manager, one point of accountability.

LCE Care membership

Your low-carbon home, looked after.

from as little as£24/ month

One membership covers monitoring, servicing and support for your heat pump and hot-water system — whether we installed it or not. Your peace of mind will always be our priority.

What "24/7 support" actually means: a person can assess your situation and arrange the right response at any time. Remote diagnosis targets a response within two hours; urgent loss-of-heat cases are prioritised for an engineer visit. It doesn't mean every visit is instant or automatically free — your membership terms set out exactly what's included.
  • Annual heat-pump & cylinder service
  • Remote system monitoring with proactive fault alerts
  • Telephone & remote technical triage, any time
  • Priority engineer attendance when a physical visit is needed
  • Digital Heat Passport: installation records, service history, warranties, settings and reports, always on hand
  • Homeowner guidance on controls, efficient operation and hot-water settings
  • Discounted repairs, replacement parts and upgrade work

Why one company, not a hand-off

A controlled specialist network — never a hand-off.

We bring in specialist partners where it adds capacity or coverage. Your contract, project management and accountability always stay with The Low Carbon Energy Company — never a subcontractor you've never met.

  • Every partner works to LCE-approved technical standards and installation details
  • Written scope, price and customer handover requirements on every job
  • Required qualifications, insurance and manufacturer approval, checked before work starts
  • A named LCE project manager on every installation
  • Shared job photographs, commissioning evidence and test records
  • A customer satisfaction check before final payment is released
  • Clear rework and defect-resolution commitments
  • LCE-branded documentation and a post-install Care offer, every time

"Not a heat-pump installer that occasionally services systems. Not a generic plumbing or solar contractor. A lifetime low-carbon home-energy partner — that's the promise the network exists to keep."

For developers & contractors

Commissioning partner to new-build developments.

Alongside LCE Heat, LCE Solar and LCE Care, we work directly with new-build development contractors — commissioning heat-pump and renewable systems to our own technical standards, then staying on as the point of contact long after handover.

  • Full system commissioning on new-build heat-pump & renewable installations, to LCE's own technical standards
  • Aftercare liaison with the developer through the defects period and beyond — one named point of contact, not a call centre
  • Direct liaison with manufacturers on system design, warranty and technical queries
  • Commissioning carried out by engineers holding valid CSCS cards, fully compliant on site
  • Snagging, performance verification and homeowner handover packs provided to the development
  • Scalable across single plots or multi-phase developments, under one contract and one project manager

"Developers get one accountable commissioning partner — not a different subcontractor on every plot — plus the aftercare relationship that keeps snags from becoming complaints."

About our founder and MD

Honesty, integrity and technical passion.

Andy BishopFounder & Managing Director
40 yrsHeating, ventilating & energy management
3Service lines — Heat, Solar, Care

Andy Bishop has spent forty years in heating, ventilating and energy management, from large country homes across Kent and Sussex to plant rooms running industrial boilers, chillers and cooling towers, and the building management systems that make them work as one. As climate change became impossible to ignore, he specialised in controls and energy conservation, and spent years watching how easily the industry loses the balance between the right system and a fair price.

Andy's passion is customer satisfaction, and always driving to add value for customers. LCE Heat and LCE Solar bring commercial-grade design discipline to your home, and LCE Care exists because a system needs looking after once it is switched on, not abandoned at the invoice.

“Unlike many modern businesses, we encourage a culture where, if we add true value, our rewards will follow naturally. That whole philosophy is what inspired me to set this business up — a return to traditional trading, where honesty, integrity and technical passion matter far more than shareholders.”
